Our Mission
Our Trust & Safety team works hard to make sure every member has the best possible experience on TrueDating. We continuously review accounts for suspicious or inconsistent behavior, verify each new profile upon registration, encrypt all user data, and actively block accounts showing harmful activity.
But your own judgment matters too. When chatting with or meeting a match, trust your instincts — they’re your best line of defense. To help you stay safe, we’ve put together a few simple guidelines for getting the most out of your TrueDating experience.
Use TrueDating's Secure Messaging
Be cautious of anyone who tries to move the conversation off TrueDating early — to email, WhatsApp, Telegram, or another messaging platform. People with bad intentions often want to take chats off-platform as soon as possible to avoid our safety systems.
Never Share Financial or Private Information
- Never share your credit card number or bank account details.
- Never give out your Social Security Number, mother’s maiden name, home address, or any other information that could be used to access your finances.
- Never send money, gifts, or goods to anyone you’ve met online.
- TrueDating will never call you about your account unless you’ve already requested a callback from our support team.
- TrueDating will never ask for your full payment details over the phone. You may only be asked for the last 4 digits of your card to confirm account ownership.
- In some cases, we may send a secure link by email to update your payment details.
- TrueDating will never charge you for customer support.
If a match pressures you for any of this information, stop communicating immediately and report the user. Reports go directly to our Trust & Safety team for review.
Protect Your Account in Public
When logging in from a public or shared computer, stay aware of your surroundings. Don’t let others see or record your password or personal information, and always log out when you’re done.
Keep Your Personal Information Safe
- Don’t share your last name, email address, home address, phone number, workplace, or any other identifying details in your profile or early messages.
- Once personal information is shared, you can’t take it back — take your time before opening up.
- TrueDating will never ask you to download additional apps or programs.
IMPORTANT: We never send emails, SMS messages, or notifications asking for your username or password. If you believe you’ve been the target of a scam, please report it to us right away.
Meeting in person
- Take your time getting to know someone before meeting in person — never agree to meet after just a few messages.
- Always meet for the first few times in busy public places, and avoid going somewhere private too soon.
- Tell a friend or family member where you’re going, who you’re meeting, and when you expect to be back. Keep your phone charged and with you at all times.
- If anything feels off during the meeting, trust your instincts and end it — you don’t owe anyone an explanation.
